Walt Disney World Vacation '09 - Day 4 part 2

The day wasn't going as well as I had hoped. I suppose we were due for a cranky kids day. It was getting close to lunch time and we were about to head towards the restaurant when we saw the Power Rangers - how cool!

All of them came out at once and it was chaos! There were kids rushing from one line to the next to see each one. We managed to see Red:

They're really funny, they do this little 'thing' and strike up a pose and want the kids to pose with them. My kids weren't grasping that idea though, lol! Wyatt never seemed to stay for pictures.

It was time to head for lunch and so we made our way over to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater restaurant - I was really looking forward to this meal.

I was really slacking in the picture department - I didn't even get any photos of this place. While we waited I was crossing my fingers no child would freak out. Dante and Wyatt were both acting up. We were finally seated. It was dark inside but thankfully Wyatt didn't freak out. *whew*

CJ sat with Dante in the front, Wyatt and I sat in the middle of our car and Fawn and Livi in the back. Shortly after we ordered CJ and I switched places. Dante was getting a bit out of hand and CJ had gotten to the end of his rope when it came to patience. We made it through lunch without any major disasters though.

Here's my opinion on the restaurant itself:

It is a cool idea for a restaurant and I guess I thought it'd be more 'fun' but our service was lacking. The CM we had was void of any type of personality. While I understand the idea of being at a drive-in, it was a bit too dark in there - to the point where I couldn't even really see my food. Ummm, I like to be able to see what I'm eating and the little lights they had shining on the table were just not enough.

Again, I understand the concept but I really didn't like sitting in a car to eat - we couldn't see each other or talk. I was constantly turning around to talk to CJ and Fawn. The food was okay but nothing to brag about. I was really looking forward to a banging milkshake and well, it was nothing special. I'd have to say, this is one place we won't be back to. I'd give it a 4 or 5 out of 10 - this is mostly due to the boring CM and the fact that I couldn't see my food! LOL

After lunch I was bound to have a plan. There is so much to at DHS but the way our day was going we weren't getting to much at all.
