Walt Disney World Vacation '09 - Day 4 Part 1

Monday, May 25, 2009
We had a quick breakfast at Captain Cook's and then we headed to Hollywood Studios - we got a later start than I had wanted but it was obvious everyone needed some extra rest. We wound up arriving around 10:30 am.

The first thing we did was go directly to the Voyage of the Little Mermaid because there was no way I was going to have Livi miss this. As we got in line a show had just started but the wait was only about 20 minutes so it wasn't too bad. The kids, however, we already cranky for some reason.

As soon as we got inside the theater area Wyatt freaked out because it was dark. With that, Dante started making a big deal about the dark too, saying he was scared and wanted to leave. CJ wound up holding Dante on his lap and I held Wyatt. For most of the show Wyatt and Dante were fairly quiet. I could understand Wyatt being a bit afraid, at only 2 years old but I knew Dante was just acting up to get attention.

Olivia loved the show and so did I - it was awesome! I was hoping to get the kids to see the Playhouse Disney stage show but after we got out of the Little Mermaid the Playhouse line was really long, so we decided to check other things out instead.

We walked over towards where the Sci-Fi Dine -In Theater Restaurant is just so we could make sure we knew where it was since we had lunch reservations there that day.

The kids were still kinda whiny, not sure why. It was hot that day so I thought maybe that was why. We stopped and got some popcicles and a drink and just relaxed and tried to plan our strategy for that day. I really wanted to see Muppet Vision 3-D so once our mini break was over, that's where we headed.

Well, Dante and Wyatt completely freaked out as soon as we walked in that theater. I was starting to realize there was no way I was going to be able to take Wyatt in anything like this, for some reason he was just scared. However, Dante, again, was just being Dante. CJ hauled Dante's ass out of there - he was completely irritated with the way this child was acting. I didn't want Livi to miss out on this show so I told Fawn to stay with Liv and I left with Wyatt. I knew CJ was on his last nerve when it came to Dante, so I figured it was best I go deal with him.

All was well though, CJ just told Dante he wasn't going to be taking him on anything anymore if he was going to act up like that. Seriously, anyone who knows Dante knows that he is our challenge and this was typical Dante behavior.

Fawn and Olivia finally came out and said they liked the show - I knew Livi would. We decided a potty break was necessary and on our way to the bathroom we wound up seeing Donald Duck!

This time it was Wyatt! He wanted nothing to do with Donald Duck! I have no idea why!

See? He's leaving and Donald's saying, "what the fu%@ kid, come back!"

It was getting close to lunch time and I was nervous because we had reservations at the Sci-Fi Dine -In Theater Restaurant and well, it's dark in there - I was worried Wyatt would freak out.

To be continued...
