Found this photo via Google search - I didn't remember to take a picture!There was a decent crowd there so we asked Fawn to get a table and wait for the rest of us to order and get food. She took Wyatt with her and then Dante wanted to go with her too, so no problem...so we thought...
Once we returned to the eating area, we saw Fawn hugging some stranger and CJ thought, 'oh gawd, now what?' and then we saw her face, she was totally freaked out and crying. Apparently Dante decided he didn't want to stay with her - he wanted to go back to his mom and dad and so he just decided to start to walk away from her. Well, she couldn't follow him, she had Wyatt in the stroller. She tried to get him to stay with her but he refused. For those of you who know Dante, then you know this was bad.
She said he was freaking out and trying to leave and she was trying to restrain him and people were actually looking at her as if she was abducting him. Of course no one tried to help her, at first. The person we saw her hugging was some random woman, a teacher who was there with some school students. Fawn explained to her how she's Dante's grandmother but he doesn't see her often and that may be why he was acting as he was. This woman tried to get Dante to calm down by redirecting him. She asked him what his mom and dad looked like and what we were wearing. Apparently CJ has ears like Dumbo and I have ears like Mickey Mouse, lol!
After things calmed down, we ate. I felt so bad - she was so upset. To us, that's 'just Dante' but to her it was just an awful experience. In fact, she didn't feel comfortable being alone with him again the rest of the trip.
The food was good here and the atmosphere was awesome. The outside seating area is huge and very pretty! Next up - Dinoland!
