Walt Disney World Vacation '09 - Day 2 Part 2

We finished breakfast and headed for the bus, which, magically appeared just as we got to the bus stop! We were able to make rope drop at Animal Kingdom! Yay! Or, boooo? Yeah, more like BOOOOOO because EVERYONE seemed to head right for the safari. Well, duh, of course they did, why was I surprised? In any event, we got there quickly and we didn't even need to get fast passes. We walked right on the safari! I was thrilled!

Okay, here it comes...I was NOT impressed with the safari. I am telling you, I've seen more animals at a zoo or game preserve. I was told to go in the morning, that's when the animals are most active. Hmmmmm......

Well, we saw giraffes:

We saw some flamingos and rhinos and ONE lion, who happened to be sleeping...lol - oh well. Ummm, wait, we did see lots of animal butt for some reason...

Our driver dude was funny so that made the safari interesting at least. I just wish we would have seen a bit more 'action' so to speak.

After the safari we decided to walk the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and hopefully see some gorillas! This trail is nice and shaded. The monkey exhibit had no action...guess they were still sleeping too! Even the CM said she had no idea what the heck was with them, that they're usually up and eating by that time.

We did get to see gorillas though!

and of course, gorilla butt!
