Walt Disney World Vacation '08 - The Drive Part 2

On Sunday, May 11th, Mother's day, we got up around 4:30am and got our asses out of Georgia! Interestingly enough we never saw a drop of rain, but later that day I heard there were some very nasty storms that ripped through the area and thankfully we were not there when that happened!
Since we left so early we got to the Polynesian Resort early, 11am or so. Luckily one room was ready. We got connecting rooms. My mom and grandma and Livi in one room and CJ, me, Dante, Wyatt and CJ's mom had the other room. Since our room was ready we all headed there to relax. Our rooms came with 2 Queen size beds, a couch that turned into a twin bed and we got a pack n play for Wyatt.

The first thing I did was check out the view from our balcony:

We all just relaxed a bit and then walked down to Captain Cook's for a bite to eat.

This resort is known for it's lush plants and flowers. It really is a tropical paradise!

After eating we went back to the rooms and my mom and grandma's room was finally ready. We unpacked and then waited for CJ's mom to arrive. She flew in from Ohio and got to the resort around 6pm or so. She was really taken aback by the beauty of this place. CJ and I went with her back to Captain Cook's so she could eat, we had the kids with us and they were happy to see her.
Not much else went on that evening. Everyone was tired from the day's travels so we went to bed early that night.
