Walt Disney World Vacation '08 - Day 3 Part 4

The parade at Animal Kingdom passes Pizzafari, where we were and we wait a few moments to let the crowd disperse before heading toward Africa to check out the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction. We just about made it there until the freaking parade was passing through that part of the park. No, I had NO idea what direction the parade was going, it must've looped around or something because once again we were held up. *Le Sigh*

Oh well, at least the kids loved seeing it again. So, that ends and we high tail it out of there so we can get where we wanted to be, an hour ago!
We get there and see that they are no longer handing out Fastpasses for the ride and the current wait time is 60 minutes! No way will we be able to wait in line that long. Not with grandma and 3 kids. I was completely bummed. So, we continue on and we're looking for attractions that all of us would be interested in doing and discovery and expedition trails were not on our list. Well, cripes, that is really all there is there if you want to see animals! yes, there are some shows to attend but let's remember what time it is...close to 5:30 pm and I find out that you don't see animals after 6 pm. Okay, I understand that and it makes complete sense. I was just so upset by the day's events that that was just one more thing to bum me out.
They weren't kidding either when they say they close at 6 pm.

Even on a night with extra magic hours, this is what we saw:

Just about every stand closes up, pronto! Seems the only things to do are go on rides that don't have anything to do with animals. I was dying to go on Expedition Everest and I had wanted to experience the Kali River Rapids too.

However, we were in Africa and had to head to Asia for those attractions...

Oh, hahahahahahahaaaa, whatever! I stated my case and we all trekked our way over to Asia.
