I guess we could have done that, looking back we probably should have but at the time I was thinking that this was the only day we were going to be at AK because we had planned to go to Hollywood Studios the next day, (Thursday) and then Friday was a scheduled down day. We had dinner reservations at the Polynesian for the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at 5:15 pm, so I figured Friday we'd just relax and enjoy the pool at the resort and then attend the Luau.
I was feeling so horrible. I explained to everyone what happened and they all decided to forget trying to get to dinner and instead just find a place to eat in the park and catch the parade. I wanted to make sure we got on the Kilimanjaro Safari and figured we'd do that after the parade.
Oh, right, huh? Hahaha
I call Disney Dining and tell them we won't make our reservation and explain what happened. They asked if we wanted to schedule something at a sit down restaurant in the park. At this point I had no desire to try and make yet another reservation so I declined.
The number for Disney Dining, in case anyone wants/needs it, is: 407-WDW-Dine (407-939-3463) Phone lines open at 7am.
Olivia for whatever reason, decided she no longer wanted to walk. Ummm, we hadn't really walked anywhere yet but she was whining that she wanted a stroller. We had strollers for the boys and sometimes Dante would walk and Livi would get pushed but that wasn't good enough this time, she wanted her own. My grandmother paid to rent one for the day, which was $15.
Finally we start walking through the park:
The park was fairly crowded and we all hated how narrow the roads were, it was really congested:

After wandering aimlessly and seeing practically NO animals, seriously, I saw more animals at the local game preserve than I saw at AK.
We decide to eat a Pizzafari since it didn't look too crowded. So far I felt like I had just wasted close to 2 hours at this place and hadn't seen a damn thing that was interesting and hadn't been on any attraction. It was just like we all went on a crowded walk through the woods.
I was glad to settle down for something to eat.
It was tough to find a table big enough for all of us to eat together, so my mom and grandma ate with Olivia and CJ, me and his mom ate with the boys.
Food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were done eating about 4pm or so and we wanted to head out to catch the parade. Well, that wasn't a problem because it had already started and was passing right in front of Pizzafari so we couldn't leave. They had the road blocked off and anyone who was in the restaurant had to wait until the parade passed before they could leave. Okay, no biggie.
