We continued on to Asia anyway because I WAS going to ride Expedition Everest even if I had to ride it myself.
On the walk, we saw the Tree of Life:

A nice place to rest and maybe have a snack. Which we probably would have done, had any snack stand been open!

As we're standing in line, CJ and I were talking about the next family vacation and how it'll be in a million years. LOL Then we talked about possibly coming back to AK on Friday morning, right when it opens, to get on the Kilimanjaro Safari since we really wanted to experience that.
My mom had already made it very clear that all she wanted to do on Friday was relax at the resort. That was fine. CJ and I thought we'd just bring the kids and his mom, maybe my grandma too, if she was up for it. Sounded like a great idea, at the time...
The wait time for the ride was about 15 minutes. I was surprised at this, but then I heard someone say, "Glad they finally got this running again." Oy, that's never good to hear before you get on a ride! LOL
We wound up close to the back and I really was hoping for a front seat but oh well, we were on and I was super excited! This ride was freaking awesome!!!!!!! I LOVED IT! At one point you go backwards and umm, CJ didn't like that much at all. I wish I would've gotten a picture of his face!
After the ride ended I wanted to go on again but CJ said hell no and no one else would go on with me. I was going to go on alone but apparently the kids were getting a bit out of control and my mom felt it was time to leave the park. That was fine with me. Besides seeing a parade, TWO times and getting on Expedition Everest, the day at the park sucked and felt wasted.

So we're walking and taking pictures when I see it...off in the distance:

Behold, the Yeti altar:

Pretty cool how they really go all out to get people excited to go on a ride. This was all for Expedition Everest and it worked because it got me pumped! I started to pick up the pace a bit and so did grandma, speedin' up on the scooter, not paying attention, BAM! She runs into some lady sitting on a stool type chair at a table and just about knocks her on her ass! CJ and I couldn't help it, we were cracking up! Damn grandma, I thought you knew how to drive that thing!
Grandma apologized and the lady was okay. We all had a laugh then. Whew....thank gawd she didn't fall off the chair and get run over!
We finally get to the attraction and it's decided that only CJ and I are going to ride it. No one else wanted to. Wow, we actually get to go off by ourselves???? Oh, just on a ride but hell, I was happy. The guy in front of us in line was camera happy, that man took pictures of every.single.thing. He even took pictures of pictures hanging on the walls...
